We have received several emails regarding a scam being perpetrated on classified users.

I have linked an article found in the Concord Monitor which details it pretty well. Please be advised that Cashier's check, by federal law, need to release funds within 24 hours of deposit.

Gain turns to loss

This does not mean the check has cleared!!! The scammer will generally overpay for the unit and request you to send the overpayment via western union.
